Anomalies known :
- With Windows 98 SE (4.10.2222 A) only :
When shutting down Window, it locks
up by the "Windows 98 - shutting down" screen. It only happens when
the LR128 is attached to his USB port.
This anomaly happens with some undetermined PC's only.
Solution : apply patch TECH0558 ("Upgrade v1.5 for driver version TECH0463B"), or upgrade to TECH0530.
- With Windows 98 and some PC :
TAPI lines : no
traffic any more after 20 mn.
Note: SX128 Modem's don't suffer of this anomaly.
- V23 (French Minitel) handshake :
W98 : OK without initialization string.
W2000 : Must force with "AT +MS=23"
- Windows sleep mode.
- Compatible OS : Windows 98, Millennium, 2000 Pro.
- These protocols are available under Windows 98/ME only (not W2000): Virtual communication Port "SX128 MODEM" (V120, X75, Async to sync PPP).

Isdn Modem diagnostic always reply error message “OpenComm
: impossible to open the port".
- W2000 : if Isdn Modem was not installed (because window was not clicked by
the user during installation) you may reinstall it manually with:
C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\SXMDMISD.EXE
- Remote access: error 678 usually appear when you change a modem to another,
because it’s necessary to retype to phone number.
- W2000 : Virtual Isdn Modem not available from control
panel / modems.

Solution

Apply this patch to driver TECH0463.
Technical detail: two files are changed in C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM (sx2tapi.sys (22 Ko) and sx2ctrl.vxd (193 Ko)).
Warning: if this patch is applied to other COM One ISDN product (ie. PC Cards), ISDN won’t work any more !.
Note : this patch do not fix the problem under W2000.

Systemes d’exploitation concernés : Windows 98, ME, 2000.
Sur ligne RNIS France Telecom Numéris DUO et ITOO : lorsqu'une la ligne RNIS est utilisée, et qu’une personne appelle l'un des deux numéros RTC, ils sonnent occupé.
Note : il existe deux moyens de contournement pour
pouvoir recevoir des appels RTC :
- Débrancher le Light Rider après usage.
- Eteindre le PC.
Solution
--------
Appliquer ce corectif par dessus les pilotes TECH0463 ou TECH0530 ou TECH0555.
Anomalies suppposées
--------------------
- Sous W2000 ce patch empecherait l’emission d’appels en mode CAPI.
- Sous W9x/ME, après application de ce patch, WinPhone décrocherait même les lignes RTC.
