MC218 ISDN Companion for Win95 (internal changes)

V1.5b FR/US 30/09/97

--------------------

Better results to receive calls.

CAPI 2.0 don't work with Win95 OSR2 (a file is missing).

Problem known at uninstallation: the uninstaller forget to clear some files.

Before to install the new driver, run RMSXFLS.EXE from DISK2 to clear to files forgotten.

V1.5c FR/US 15/10/97

--------------------

Internal :

- VXD's organisation modifications, in order to solve various hang up with PC Rider 128 (ATA, fast connection/deconnection cycles).

- Set to standard of some AT commands (RING, A/, ...).

Public :

- CAPI Installation : Into previous releases, CAPI installation under Windows 95 OSR2 don't work (VCAPID.VXD was deleted).

- Corrections into languages English and German (menus and configuration assistants).

- Corrections for parity function (HyperTerm can't change it into previous releases).

- Add function of command mode under HyperTerm (command +++).

- Junction (CD, DTR, ...)

- Auto answer mode: ATS0=0 now display RING's.

- Fix problems with Windows 95 Remote Access Server (RAS).

- Fix problems with Shiva Remote Connect (v5.01 for Windows 95). Into previous ISDN Companion releases, in case of connection error, the modem reset done by Shiva killed the SX128 modem.

- Remark: Shiva Remote Connect has a problem in TAPI mode. It doesn't dial the last digit of a phone number. Solution: add a dummy digit at the end of phone number (ex: to call 12 34 56 78 with Shiva and SX128 - WAN Miniport Adapter, you must call: 12 34 56 78 9).

- Shiva Remote Connect can't work into CAPI mode currently.

- Uninstallation: the uninstaller RMSXFLS.EXE clear all the files (except the modems installed into Control panel).

- Added: virtual modems "SX128 MODEM PPP", "SX128 MODEM V120", "SX128 MODEM X75", to avoid to change protocol into the SX128 panel control.

These modems automatically sent init strings to set the protocol.

To add one of these modems: go into Control Panel / Modems, then "Add", display list, constructor: "ComOne".

Constructor name (ComOne) will change for the next release.

Masters sans boot WinImage 4 donc sans fausse alerte virus de la part de NAV.

V1.5d US 05/12/97

-----------------

- "123" for a sub adress number.

- "#0556788382" for a MSN number.

07/07/99 Wrong: "#0556788382*123" for a MSN and a sub adress number.

Installation and uninstallation Guide

-------------------------------------

CAUTION ! This driver was made only for Windows 95/98. Do NOT install it onto Windows NT 4 nor other system.

The 2 files you have downloaded contain the files of 2 disks.

·          Onto your hard disk, make 2 directories (ex : C:\TEMP1 et C:\TEMP2)

·          Copy the first file into the first directory, and the second file into the second directory.

·          Run the EXE files you have copied.  The 2 EXE will decompress and create a lot of other files.

Then delete the 2 EXE files from their directories, they are no longer usefull.

·          Copy the files of the directories onto 2 empty disks.

·          you must uninstall the previous ISDN Companion version : Follow the paper documentation "Uninstalling your ISDN Product". If you don't own this paper documentation, double click onto the SX128 icon (bottom right of the screen), then click onto button "SETUP", then click the button "Uninstall all".

·          After the reloading of Windows 95, insert disk 2 in disk drive, then run "A:\RMSXFLS.EXE"

·          Insert disk 1, then run "A:\SETUP.EXE" and follow your paper documentation.

ATTENTION !
